Hello, I’m really newbie but i upgraded my old 3080 ti to a 4080 super but i have the exact same FPS or sometimes i got less FPS with the 4080 super. Why would this happen i have zero idea i tried reinstall my whole pc with windows 11 23h2 pro x64 tried older or newer drivers nothing happened. I really want to play games with my 4080 super like 7 days to die or cs 2. but i got more FPS with the 3080 ti card.

I double checked my temps are fine.
My CPU with prime 95 is maximum 75C stable 4.5 ghz but if i try stress test with aida 64 same temp but my clock speed goes down to 4.0 ghz.

My 4080 super maximum temp is 70C when i play a lot of game i only had 60-65 C.

I got in cs2 180-270 fps sometimes hit 360fps but i'ts really low my friend with DDR5 got 6-800F-PS.

How can i fix this its really annoy i play 1080p or 2k resolution, Please help me sorry for my bad english.
My specs:
AMD Ryzen 9 5950x
Asus X570 TUF Gaming Plus with latest BIOS
4x32GB Gskill Trident Z royal 3600mhz (XMP has the 4000mhz but i use only the 3600 mhz)
Zotac GAMING GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Trinity OC White Edition nVidia 16GB GDDR6X 256bit
Samsung 990 Pro 1TB
Windows 11 Pro (i upgraded from windows 10 pro Retail box version) Clean install i did with the windows 11 i have now 23H2
PSU: FSP Hydro PTM 1200W 80+ platinum PSU.
Corsair H150i Elite LCD XT Water Cooler.

566.36 nvidia driver i have DCH.

(I tried remove old drivers with DDU aswell or clean windows install not helped sadly.)

So this means the ryzen 9 5950x is not enough for this card? i feel i got less fps than i bought my 4080 super with this cpu aswell.

Okey, thanks so this means its completly normal for this config? My problem is when i change my VGA to my old RTX 3080 ti i got a little more FPS some games and only 1 or 2 less than the 4080 super.
But if i put back my RTX 4080 super i got less fps than the 3080. is it normal i checked my temp and its normal i think.
This is because the cpu limitations? (I thinkink now only in DDR4 platform I understand now DDr5 version is far better now.)

And again, the CPU gives the FPS, the GPS gives the eyecandy.

Crank the settings up as high as they will go in graphics and it may stabilize. If all you are doing is gaming, you might consider selling the 5950x and picking up a 5700x3d. But basically to fully utilize that card you may be looking at a platform upgrade.

If you're playing 1080p or even 1440p, and you get similar results with 4080 to 3080Ti then your CPU is the limiting factor there.
Yes in some games i got more fps with the RTX 3080 TI than my 4080 but some game i got little more fps with the 4080.

When i bought the card i got stable 100-140 FPS in 7 days to die now its jank down to 80-125 fps and its not stable i tried with the 3080 ti and now i got stable 130-140 fps with 1080p.

I really want to play in 2k i have a 240hz 2k monitor but i feel more fps in 1080p too.

Thats my main problem maybe a windows update issue or driver issue? I updated my BIOS to the latest in this month from ASUS website sorry for my bad english.

In COD MW3 i had stable 240 FPS now when i try play i dont had goes down 160fps the exact same settings.

Thank you guys for this wonderfull answers i really think to upgrade the 7xxx3D or 9xxx3D CPU and DDR5.
