45 “ Westinghouse TV with no ARC- hdmi. Just two plain hdmi slots. I want to connect a Yamaha ATS 1080
Speaker bar.

Your soundbar has both optical and analogue audio inputs, so check what your TV has as audio out - optical out, or headphones out, and use appropriate cable.

Currently your AUDIO connection in order of preference are:

HDMI (digital, uncompressed surround highest fidelity)
Optical (digital, compressed surround)
Analog (stereo only, the lowest denominator)

So then you choose, just go from top to bottom, until u find what both pieces you are trying to connect have the same interface. Easy.
