Question Multiple mouse issues

I've been having the following problems for a while now and it's only now just affecting my mind:

* Mouse releases itself when held down
* Clicks don't register
* Clicks sometimes register as doubleclicks

I have a Windows 11 computer and a HP Pavilion TP-01-2xxx series computer.

This is a common problem with mice that've seen long and/or heavy use. The switch has simply worn out. Do you have any reason to think that it may be due to some other cause?
