Hell THW peep, how are ya?

I recently bought an FX 4100 and an asus m5a78l-mlx mobo, with 4gb of RAM, and i was wondering if its safe to use my 450w with two +12v one of 14 amp and other of 16amp with just one hdd, a DVD reader and a Radeon hd4850 512mb ddr3.

I dont have money to buy a new PSU yet, so i want to know if i can hold up with what i have until i can change it.

Thanks beforehand for your answers, cheers!

No problem bro, my GPU is the least demanding one, has only 512mb and gddr3 and by XFX so is basically the factory one.

Any idea about what i said before about the mobo and onboard soundcard?

If you're not entirely sure which part is giving off coil noise, you can get a cardboard tube, like from toilet paper and listen through that until you've isolated the sound.

If the part giving off the coil noise is still under warranty, send it in. If not, you can use nail polish to reduce the noise from the offending part.

good luck!

Its the PSU, but it only happens with the new CPU and Mobo with and without the 4850, it just starts doing that noise... i think its when i install the audio drivers, otherwise it remains shut for a while, i recently uninstalled the audio drivers and everything was quiet.

Funny thing is that the onboard soundcard, as i said, doesnt work properly hence it wont work with anything, i plug in speakers, mic, heaphones, and it starts flipping out, spamming the *** out of the "new device connected" and "device disconnected".

And Im using that PSU right now as i write with my e5400 and the 4850, and 3 hd, and a dvd writer and everything is quiet.

Ill record a sample for you if im not clear.
