Question 450w psu for 3060?

want to buy the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X OC 12GB, is my current PSU sufficient?

it's a BitFenix Formula Gold 450 450 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply

rest of system:

RTX 3060 is 170W GPU and minimum, i'd go for 650W PSU.

Good PSUs to go for, are: Seasonic Focus/PRIME series and Corsair RM/RMi/RMx/HX/HXi/AX/AXi.

do you know of anything decent available in the UK for £50-75? or where i might look?

If you have money to buy 380 quid GPU, then you'll also have money to buy proper PSU. Else-ways, don't buy that expensive GPU, if you'd need to spare money for PSU.

What annoys me, are those people, who clearly have enough money to buy expensive hardware (e.g GPU), but when it comes to buying the most important component inside the PC, which is PSU, since it powers everything, then they say they do not have enough money. 😵

Back in the day (2016), when i bought 1st parts of my Skylake build (full specs with pics in my sig), i had a choice:

• Buy GTX 1060 6GB and cheaper, but still good Seasonic M12II-620 EVO (80+ Bronze) PSU.
• Or GTX 1060 3GB and much better, Seasonic PRIME 650 (80+ Titanium) PSU.

You can guess which option i picked.
