I have been using my pc with a cheap 450W PSU (zebronics to be precise) for the past 6 years without any issues.recently ordered a gtx 750ti which will replace the GeForce 210. I know my psu is a total crap but Iam not in a position to buy a new PSU.

my specs:-
asus h61m-cs motherboard
Processor:i3 2105
2×4gb DDR3 ram
Toshiba 500gb HDD

I ran the power requirement test online for gtx 750ti and It shows 300W is sufficient with 15 amps on the 12V rail , mine has 16amps.What might happen if I install the new GPU in my pc?

Ps:kindly share your opinion on corsair vs450 which I might upgrade to in the future. Can't afford anything higher.

Solution
It should power the 750ti fine... next time try to get a higher quality PSU, because that's one of the most important components of your computer.
Saw a 750ti run on a 300W OEM PSU, but even that had 18A on the 12V rail.
You can try it at your own risk, but if it fails then other components could go with it.
VS 450 PSUs are pretty bad too, but compared to your current power supply, it should do the job fairly easy.

I bought another comparatively better psu of 400W.It has got two separate 12 v rails with a total 27 amps. ie. 14 amps on a single rail. My gtx 750ti draws power from motherboard and I won't use 6pin pcie. Will the PSU be able to power the GPU .Iam totally confused with this dual rail thing.
