4770 on 10.4 ati drivers

4770 is supposied to be more then twice as powerful as my old nvidia 9500gt,,,,well then why a ati 4770 struggling to play resident evil 4,Age of empires 3,,,dont even get me started on dolphin emulator ,,also 10.4 drivers well not save no video options.

here is the rest of my system
amd athlon x4 620 2.6ghz overclock to 3.2ghz
3GB of ram
4770 XFX
antec 380 watt

at first i thought it was the antec 380watt but no it works the same on a 500watt
and its not overheating its only running at 38c on idle playing games 53c
old nvidia was 54c on idle and 84c in gaming

it seems like all my games are playing a little slow except for gta 4
i hope its the ati 10.4 drivers i hear they SUCK...

I myself have an HD 4770 and ran into some trouble with 10.2 Catalyst drivers. I suggest you roll back to 10.1, or 10.3.

the 10.4 drivers are fine, though did you make sure to run driversweeper in safemode after un-installing the NV drivers (i am assuming you un-installed the NV drivers) since that could cause a problem

I have the same card, I o/c it. o/c cpu 4.00ghz RE5 benchmark high 2x aa at 1680X I get over 70 fps. I'm using 10.4 now, all driver revisions have been fine.

Where would one find older drivers for Windows 7, in case they are having issues with their current Catalyst drivers?

really i reinstalled windows 7 for best compatibility
it has to be drivers because this cards a beast in everything else like Gta 4 COD5

but the driver messes up some times saying it has recovered
sucks i have dial-up so if i re-download 10.3 it well take for ever!
