4790 shows 2 cores

I have a new i7 4790 with MSI H97 PcMate motherboard

16 DDR3 1600 ghz Ram

GTX 1050 Ti OC

2 HDD hard drives
(1TB Drive with all my games and apps)
(250GB Drive with only windows)

My CPU shows in task manager and in dxdiag and alosi in msconfig that i have 2 cores butt i know its a Quad core

Please help

Try this:

Click Start and Open Run or Click Search Icon and Go to/Type msconfig (will open System Configuration)
Click "Boot" tab
Click "Advanced options..." button (will open the BOOT Advanced Options)
Uncheck the "Number of processors"
Click OK / Apply
Restart Windows
Check if the Task Manager now reports: "Cores: 4" and "Logical processors: 8"

The solution is format your windows 7 and upgrade to windows 10 it worked for me and my mouse drivers also work now when it didn't work on windows 7
