4790k / 6700k question

How much longer will a 6700k last more than a 4790k?

Betwewn those 4790k and 6700k, there's actually not much difference. You won't go wrong with both in terms of future proofung

The difference is is in the platform. Z97 vs Z170. The Z170 has new features such as DDR4 support/ more Pcie 3.0 lanes etc.

You can't go wrong with both

As far as life span probably about the same, the 6700K is a little stronger and would place you on a platform better for future upgrades
