Question Toshiba Satellite P875-S7102: Turns off at 30 minutes with audible click.

I have a laptop, Toshiba Satellite P875-S7102, that turns itself off at 30 minutes, consistently.

Out of the box it was Windows 8.0. Now running at Windows 10.

I have clocked the laptop running time, from start to shut down at 30 minutes, using a stop watch and the on-board CPU Uptime clock. Right about 30 minutes it shuts itself off completely and there is an audible, mechanical click when it happens.

Hoping it might be an OS issue, I have set the power settings to "Never", for Shut Downs and Sleeping, but this has had no effect.
I was able to (after considerable efforts) get the laptop to boot from a USB drive into Unix Mint. It still shut down in 30 minutes, leaving me now to believe that it is a mechanical issue. It really seems like it's a overload tripping event. Possibly over heating? But if it's overheating, why is it shutting down at exactly the same time, each time. I've tested the shutdown time eight times in a row on my first fix attempt. Twice on a second attempt with the Unix USB stick. The event is consistent. And by the way, the fan is working.
Can anyone give me some suggestions? I don't want to start changing parts in a wild goose chase.
Is there some stress tests I can run on the cooling fan, or other component that might give me some insight?

Boot to the bios and let it sit......what happens?

I booted into the BIOs Utility Setup, direct from start up using F2.
Ran the test twice and both times it shut off at 30 minutes. (29m:46 sec, approx).
So it's the bios causing the shutoff.

Best I can recco is to go through the bios settings one at a time see if you can spot the cause.

If there is a temp monitor in the bios you might want to take a peek at the cpu temp.

So my next question is..... If it's the BIOs, and I'm running from the Unix flash drive, is my machine still making use of it's native BIOs?
