I need an i7 to stream and record a few games which i can't do with just my 3570K, i can only afford for now an 6700k with a GA-H110M-H or i could get an z97m g3 and the 4790K, so what should i get?

Solution
They're pretty close to equal in most ways, though I'd give a slight nod to the 6700K in overall performance, plus DDR3 is on its way out. Z97 motherboard *might* have features, whether or not they're important to you might sway your decision.

i7-6700k (has an unlocked multiplier that requires Z170 mobo to be "used") is better coupled with a Z170 motherboard (the only ones that supports overclock), it would be a completely waste on a different cheap. Otherwise you can get the i7-6700 and a h170/b150/h110 board,, but the last 2 are entry level

6700K is the only available here :/

than if you don't want to waste the money you have to buy a z170 board, like the asrock z170 pro4.
the cpu would work on other chipsets but i would not be happy to have something i can't really enjoy.

The 'k' version works fine with the lessor motherboard. The only difference is the unlocked clock multiplier will use the default value and can not be changed until you get something like a z170 motherboard.

Get the 4790k. Contrary to what the other poser said, the 4790k is faster except for the built in graphics, which as a gamer you wouldn't be using. The 6700k uses less power.

That mobo would be really expensive here (brazil), i plan to get one better with ddr4 later on if i go to skylake.
My budge right now only allow me to afford what i said in the first post and unfortunately i need them asap since i've sold my 3570K and my mobo.

in italy that's the cheapest Z170 board 🙂. as said cpu will work but overclocking will not be possible, if you plan to change mobo soon after it could work

and i would not get am Haswell, it's good but dead. LGA 1151 will be used for next generation too.

honeslty i think it's strange you can't stream cause of your cpu, it 's still a good one.

I can stream most games, but Black Ops 3 uses all cores, which don't allow me to stream or record at 720@60fps
