4790k or 6700k for gaming and light editing

I am currently using a 8370 and im noticing it is bottlenecking my 980 Classified, I have been wanting to upgrade to intel for ages and now i am unsure for with which platform to go for...
My Choices with prices(AUD):
4790k - $500
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 - $250
TOTAL : $750
6700K - $500
Asus Maximus VIII Hero - 380
G.Skill Trident Z 3200 DRR4 16GB - $260
TOTAL : $1140

If you're going for purely gaming, go with a 4790k. If you're going for anything else, like editing, go with the 6700k

i use the 4790k @4.8ghz and it is truly a monster works great with my 980ti

Make sure you get watercooling for the 4790k even at stock speeds it can get VERY hot, i use this AIO Cooling system http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-hydro-series-h100i-gtx-240mm-high-performance-multi-cpu-liquid-cooler-with-corsair-link-for- im sure you can find it in australia and most cases should be able to fit a 240mm radiator if your looking to go down that route

Althought dont let water cooling sway you the corsair AIO coolers are very easy to install only need to connect 4 cables and you're done

Don't worry, i have got that covered, i currently have a Corsair H110i GTX cooling my 8370,

i would say go for the 4790k then good performance can overclock with water cooling ALOT, and its a whole lot cheaper win win in my eyes
