LOL I just found 486 from my basement. It's running find and found several contact number (Im not sure who it is... looks like it's my great great grandfather..) I was trying to connect internet.. but I realized i can't. However, i found unknown modem card from 486.
it said fm144pm, and manufacturer is MACSYSTEM. and description said fax modem, fas massenger 14.400bps. then can i connect this thing to printer?

Great memories! My very first computer was a 486 dx2 66 with a 14.4 baud rate modem, then upgraded to 28.8 then to a blazing 56k! Anyways, if it's a fax printer yes, if it's an ordinary printer from 2014 time, then no. Good luck~

It's a 14.4 modem. It connects to a phone line. It can potentially send or receive a fax. It can connect to a dialup 'internet' service. AOL, for instance (if you want to pay them).

It is theoretically possible to get this thing online. However, it will be abysmally slow once you do.
