i dont know the RAMDAC clock speed of the 2gb one but i guess it's about the same. If you play games like GTA 4 i would not even blink to choose the 2gb one since GTA 4 is a very memory consuming game. Just make shure the 2gb fits in your MOBO and you have enough of power supply you shouldn't hesitate. Go get the 2gb if it fits

if you are playing high end games, yes, if not, no. The difference isnt really big in the most games. Take COD WaW for example. The difference is 1fps, with the 2gb as superior.

But if you DO play GTA IV as i am. I would defenately buy the 2gb VAPOR-X with your MOBO and power supply.

Dont miss the Vapor-x it got a awsome cooling system and the OC features is even better then the stock!

From Norway, It would cost me 2000 NOK. Btw, the Toxic version GOT Vapor-X cooling, just to say. So the difference is really a Toxic card (Factory overclocked card that should do some better on the paper) and a Vapor-X card with 2 GB (1-2 FPS away and better on heavy memory games)

then get the toxic, as long as it have a vapor-x cooling you'll be fine. But if you know how to overclock, then i mean really know, then it doesnt matter as you can oc it by urself

Sorry if you've already bought the card, but I would recommend the Toxic. It isn't just a few FPS away. It comes stock at 960mhz, easily overclocked past 1000mhz, unless you're unlucky. Overclocking a Toxic can beat the 2GB Vapor-X, by 20-30% in performance. However, if you really need the extra memory go for the 2GB (only if you have a 30"+ monitor that plays in 2560 x 1600). I'm just surprised you can find a Toxic in stock.

IMO the XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB is a better buy.... you will have double lifetime warranty and it is rated by most sites as the most stable and low temp cards in the 4890 lineup.... Can be overclocked to 950Mhz just like the "vapor x" at lower temps.....
