Hi all, I recently updated to a super ultra wide 49 inch Samsung (C49HG90) I use to play on a 1440p 27 inch monitor and I was able to set the resolution of the monitor in nvidia control panel to 1024x768 and then would set my scaling mode to full screen so when I went into csgo I would enable the resolution and then put 4:3 aspect ratio and it would stretch my screen making bodies appear larger on screen. My question is would I be able to run csgo on 1024x768 without stretching it to the full resolution of my monitor on full screen because when it stretches to 49 inches it becomes extremely hard to see everything. I want to run black bars csgo and only take up around 24-27 inches of my monitor to play the game and use that as if it were a smaller monitor. while still having the stretched 4:3 resolution. Perhaps someone could help.
Edit: Managed to get black barred 1024 x 768 not stretched by setting scaling mode in nvidia control panel to aspect ratio, then enabled 4:3 in csgo settings and 1024 resolution. Csgo is currently playing in middle of my screen taking up approximately 1/3 of the screen with the other 2/3 being black bars on left and right side. If now we could stretch the game outwards horizontally it would be great...
