[SOLVED] 4970k or skylake without k

I want to upgrade my processor ,but i am not sure if i am making the right Choice. I want to get the 6700( without k) and i was wondering if it has more Performance than an 4790k. Or Should i rather get the 4790k?

An overclocked 4790K will be faster.

the performance difference between haswell and skylake is minimal, 5-10% at most, so the 4790k will be slightly faster than non k 6600, the difference will be greater if u oc your 4790k.
skylake brings more features on the table, usb-c for example, so the non k 6600 will be more futureproof. especially with dx12 in front of the gate, the cpu power requirement will be lower than before, so 6600 is more appealing.
need more horsepower? get 4790k
futureproof? non k 6600
best of both? 6600k 😀
