I am thinking about buying a premade gaming pc. Everything looks good but un sure if I should upgrade ram for best performance. It has 1X8gb + 1X4gb = 12gb. Would it be worth it to upgrade it myself and loose my warranty and buy a 2X4gb sticks and run 8gb dual channel. The pc will be used mostly for gaming. Thanks!

Yes, dual channel is better, but maybe the difference is minimal and not worth voiding a warranty.

These are cheaper and I believe are better. Gaming heavily relies on the graphics card most. For me, in Watch Dogs, my GPU is pushed to 95%, and my CPU is usually at 30%, and my gpu (R9 270X 2GB) costed $179 and my CPU (AMD FX-6300 not overclocked) costed just $120.

Looking for a good gaming rig for around 1000-1500. Too much of a hassle building again. I built a gaming pc-lasted 2 years. Right now I'm on a 2007 HP with upgraded graphics card and its running fine so would like to buy it from a Canadian retailer prebult this time

Both those builds posted have PSU issues.
The first uses a low quality unit and the second uses PSu with a single 6-pin which means you will need a molex adapter for the other 6 pin which is not really safe or a good idea.

Extremelly CPU intensive programs may not work too well.
I have the FX 6300, and it works well web browsing and stuff. For my use, the thing I would upgrade from my AMD FX-6300, 16GB ram, 1TB HDD rig if I wanted to have a faster PC would be getting a ssd or hybrid drive. The fx 6300 works fine for me.

16gb ram is pointless for gaming.
a gtx760 in a $1200 is crazy. You could have a 970 easily or better.
Also the bottleneck all depends on the game. Something like BF4, no bottleneck. Something like Watchdogs or Farcry 4 the 6300 will be the weak spot and a slowdown.
