Hello,
Recently i had this kit (HyperX FURY 4x8GB 2666MHz DDR4) as a gift.
I am not familiar with this new type of fast DDR4 ram.
I own a computer but is a DDR2 system.
This kit is a reason for me to consider to build a new system.
I do not want to pay a fortune but i need some suggestions from the community about it.
So i would like to ask :
Because of 2666Mhz of this kit which processors can handle this ram?
Also i need a suggestion for a motherboard (prefered Asus) for this combination CPU and this kit of ram.

A few info from the community will be highly appreciated.

Your best options are Intel-based Skylake or Kaby Lake platforms: for motherboards, that means the ones with 100 or 200 series chipsets (such as H110, H170, B250 or Z270). Corresponding CPUs are Core i3/i5/i7 series 6 and series 7.

I cannot recommend exact combination without some further info. For example, what will the rig be used for? Where are you from? What is the budget?

Hello,
Thanks a lot for the info.
I come from Greece.
I already own a corsair case (200r) and a corsair psu 550w.
So I will need a motherboard, a cpu, and a cooler (don't want liquid cooling/have a noctua in my old build but for it will not fit for the new one).
Let's say i can spend 400 euro.

System will be used for general stuff but need it also to be good for gaming.

You will also need a graphics card, which is a huge chunk of overall budget, especially if you game on 1080p or higher.

Do you need Windows as well? And peripherals?
