I use Chrome and a fairly capable PC, I use Windows 10 Chrome x64 are all latest stable versions I have my PC connected to 4K TV via HDMI. I have enabled HDR from chrome flags. When I play 4K@60fps its smooth when I play 4K+HDR its smooth but the 4K+HDR@60fps is dropping half the framesand its an unwatchable mess. My CPU isn't more than 60% and my internet speed is about 32 Mbps .Any one else has the same problem? Any solution?

youtube shows 4k 60fps playback on anything. even crappty laptops.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3AKlscrjmQ

on my internet there is alot of artifacting though.

32Mbps is 4Megabytes per second. considering a 4k vid can be hundreds of gigabytes. id say its your isp bandwidth.

have 16gb of ddr4 I think it's plenty
My TV supports 4k HDR it's the Sony XD-7005

What are the specs of your PC?

Also:
To display Chroma 4:4:4 set the scene to 'Graphics' or 'Game'. HDMI ports 2 and 3 accept a 4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 signal, but only when 'Enhanced HDMI' is enabled in the input settings. The XBR65X750D does accept a 1080p @ 120Hz resolution, but can only display half of the frames, even though it is a 120Hz TV.
HDMI 2.0 Full Bandwith : Yes (HDMI 2, 3)

Are you using HDMI 2.0 capable GPU/output port and HDMI 2.0 cable?

Although I get occasionally rebuffering with HDR+4k+60FPS on my R7-1700 16gb-3200mhz system...
I think it might be a chrome problem.

It's definitely chewing up my bandwidth as well, 32mbits may not be anywhere near enough, as I get spikes up above 300Mbps.

For anyone else:
To enable HDR copy this into your chrome address bar:
chrome://flags/

And then scroll down to HDR support and set it to Enabled.

Thanx for the answer. My CPU is an i7-5820K memory 16GB DDR4@2133 quad ch My GPU is a GTX 970 G1-Gaming OCed My HDMI Cable is 18Gbps., so HDMI 2.0a capable supposedly. If you have problems with 300Mbps then it's a codec/Chrome Problem like it was with the 4K at the beggining.Maybe that's why HDR isn't enabled by default yet even with Chrome 63

while it sounds like bandwidth issues this may help - hdr can do weird things.
what are your settings in nvidia control panel? it should be on 4k 60hz 10bit 4:2:2
your tv also has to have the exact hdmi port set to 'enhanced' mode and be in game (or pc) mode.

edit (also if it is the x700d then only hdmi ports 2 or 3 can be 'enhanced').

I use port 3 I have those setting all drivers and latest tv firmware are in place, I believe now that my PC just can't handle it, there is no other explanation.

It is very simple answer.
Even hdmi 2.0b doesnot support 4k 60hz hdr 4:4:2 or 4:4:4, it does 4:2:0 and 4:2:2.

This is why some frames are lost.
And you either need hdmi 2.1 or dp 1.4.
