I've always had a multiple monitor setup where I gamed on one screen and watched videos through kodi on the other screen. This worked great in the 1080p days but I can't seem to replicate the same flawless experience in 4k. My goal is to play demanding next gen games like far cry 5 maxed out at 4k on one screen and watch large 4k blu-rays rips with no stutter or frame drops on my larger TV using one PC. Here are my current specs:
ryzen 7 1700
16gb ram
gtx 1080 ti SC gaming
My 1st thought was adding a 2nd video card but when I searched on this forum the answer usually was don't do that just get a better video card but that was usually in reference to budget setups and 1080p. I'm open to all solutions whether it be switching to an onboard 4k HDR capable graphics intel CPU, better ryzen CPU, getting a titan if that will make a difference, waiting for the gtx 1180s or adding a 1050ti just for my big screen. Whatever one of these solutions will work or one I haven't thought of. Any Ideas?
