Hey guys i recently bought geforce 1080ti + ryzen 7 1700x and now i want to get better monitor than the one i have now (1080p 75hz), since my build can achieve mad FPS :)

So i was thinking, i already have 55inch tv that i can hook up to my pc and play some games at 4k with my joystick, but i would rather sit at my pc desk and ball...so what do u suggest, should i go for ultimate fps and buy 1080p 240hz monitor, 1440p 144hz monitor or just go for 4k 60hz monitor ?

I really like the 4k idea but even with my setup here not everything is going to run on 4k ultra 60 fps tho i already tried on my tv.. so i was thinking about 1440p 144hz good monitor decent resolution and probably will hit over 120/130 fps on it too..

What do you think guys ? :) I would appreciated the opinions :)

Solution
4K@60FPS = 497,664,000 pixels per second
1080p@240FPS = 497,664,000 pixels per second
1440p@144FPS = 530,841,600 pixels per second

So 4K@60FPS or 1080P@240FPS, same pixels per second, and the 1440P needs 7% more pixels, so if you can play 4K games solid at 65 FPS, then you could possible max 144FPS on the 1440P.

It's all rough, but you get the idea. Really, they are all pretty close to the same work needed by the GPU regardless.
