Occasionally upon startup my 4k monitor that is connected via DP 1.2 seems to revert back to 30 hz from 60hz. In order to rectify I sometimes have to restart my computer until I can change it to 60hz or I have to restart the monitor. I think before the AMD driver said something about the cable. What do you guys think the problem might be?

1) Monitor?

2) GPU?

3) Cable spec? (I'd be very surprised if it wasn't v1.2 though)

There are 30Hz 4K monitors (which can do 60Hz in 1080p) so we need to know if you support 60Hz.

Having said that, if you are managing to get 4K, 60Hz as it sounds then your hardware is fully supported so perhaps it's a DRIVER ISSUE? (if so, I guess try reinstall and/or check appropriate GPU forum)

what is the monitor model, I had the same problem with my Philips bdm4065, and I changed the displayport cable, until now that fix my problema, you can try that. I hope this help you. Excuse my English, i am not a native speaker.

yeh its the bdm4065, 290x cf (though same problem comes out with one card), it must be the cable think i'll just try replacing it.
