I may plan on getting a true 4k monitor llike this one soon: https://www.amazon.ca/Asus-PG27UQ-G...ywords=ROG+SWIFT+PG27UQ&qid=1576355883&sr=8-2

So my questions are(these may be dumb questions sorry lol)

Will my gtx 980 work with this monitor?

I have an internal capture card that i use to run my ps4 on my monitors: https://www.amazon.ca/Elgato-superior-technology-hardware-encoding/dp/B014MQIVPS
i would only need a 4k capture card if i wanted to output 4k quality right? it wouldnt affect what i view on my screen

Solution
I can't help you with the capture card information but I can help you by telling you that your GTX 980 won't be able to keep a stable 60 fps in 4K. Even the GTX 2080TI cannot keep a stable 144 FPS in modern games at 4K. So that 144hz refresh rate won't be used like you want it to be used with that GPU.
