4k television with HDMI ports

Hi,
I have bought the Hisense LTDN65XT880XWSEU3D 4K television. It came as a surprise to me that it only had HDMI ports (4 to be exact). Because i thought that the maximum a HDMI can transmit was 1080p 60Hz? can anybody shed some more light on this? thanks in advance (It also has USB and a few other port, but those ports don't seem to outperform the HDMI.)

They could be hdmi 2.0, phyically and electrically backward compatible, but if the whole chain, source, sink and cable are 2.0 then they have higher bandwidth.
