4K TV Stuck at 30HZ

So I have a Samsung 65 Inch 4K TV that I just got and it's currently stuck at 30Hz and cannot go higher.
I have a R9 390 which I know I cannot use HDMI 2.0 on since my 390 doesn't support it so I got a Display Port 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 and a HDMI 2.0 Cable and it's still not working at all. I've uninstalled the AMD Drivers and reinstalled and still hasn't worked. I've turned on PC mode on my TV and enabled UHD mode but still nothing.

Does the TV support HDMI 2.0? Many older 4K TV's, and even new ones, don't support HDMI 2.0, as TV's don't typically operate at 60hz anyway.

Which TV exactly do you have? Maybe it just supports HDMI 1.4 and not 2.0 which you need for 4k 60hz.

Yes it's a newer samsung, according to the internet all the HDMI ports are 2.0

To accept a high bandwidth signal such as 4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4, it is necessary to enable 'HDMI UHD Color'. This is only possible on HDMI1. Change the input label to 'PC' to accurately display chroma subsampling for PC use. If this isnt working my guess is its something to do with the convertor

I know it only works on hdmi 1 for sure

Also did you set the display to 4k @ 60 in the advanced display settings under monitor

I Have it on HDMI 1, set to PC and have HDMI UHD enabled and I have no option to go to 60Hz in advanced display settings, the max is 30 :/

try a different cable my guess is even though it says its 18gps its not i am reading like 100 reviews from people that say that thing works try a different cable it can stop the signal

When ever an active converter enters the picture, all bets are off. They are very unpredictable.

So tried the original cable that didn't work, I have a Zline Designs HDMI cable and that didn't work, and just tried my Xbox One HDMI Cable and that didn't work. I have another one but I doubt this one is any good got it for like 2 bucks on eBay a long time ago.

just throwing it out there turn off both the tv and the pc then turn the tv on on the input you want to use then boot up the tv i know it sounds kinda dumb but we ran into an issue like this one time and i remember it working

Well all the HDMI cables didn't work granted I'm unsure if 3 of those were even 2.0. Also turning it off and on didn't work

change the color scheme to 4:2:0 in your NVidia or AMD drives settings then change the refresh rate to 60Hz.

I've been looking for that in my AMD settings but can't find it anywhere :? Would you know where it would be located?

So um I started an update for AMD you know maybe that would help, and after it updated my two other monitors including my TV aren't working :/ Just shows my primary on my computer.

Well found out that problem it was stupid ass eyefinity and now all my screens are connected and I'm just lost. Jesus christ

I havebt used amd in a while but it should be in wherever you change resolution

right click the desktop then go into the radeon settings on the bottom should be a tab that says preference then an option should show up for advanced or other options i think its in there its been a while since i used amd

Found a Color Management by the resolution settings but it's all greyed out.

should be wherever you can make custom resolutions

Yeah I have custom resolutions up but it's nowhere to be found. Can't even set a custom resolution to 31Hz or I'll get an error

for now lower your resolution to 2560x1440p it will give you 60 for now and match your display until you get this sorted
