4K vs 1440p 144hz and what gpu's with 1200 euro to spend

I have 1600 euro to spend upgrading my pc and i was wondering first of all which you would recommend 4k vs 1440p 144hz and then what / which gpu to get.

My current build is:
i7 4770k @ 4.4. ghz
MSI GTX 780 Lightning
16gb ram
2x 256 gb ssd

( the 1600 euros is for both a monitor and the gpu)

SLI Asus GTX 980 Ti STRIX OC, that grpahics card is an amazing choice.

make it skylake,more than 40fps better

if you have that much of money, build a new one. make it skylake,more than 40fps better in many games on ultra. and a 980Ti

What on earth ... +40fps improvement... I can't tell if this is a troll or something.

It will be completely not a value upgrade if you change to Skylake, i7 4770K @ 4.4 Does very well in games and you will see a 5fps ~ 10fps difference maximum with the i7 Skylake and you will have to spend an uneccesary amount on CPU, mobo & DDR4 RAM.

For 4k you need a huge amount of Vram. so you can get an asus g sync monitor and an asus or gigabyte titan x.Or you can SLI the gtx 980 ti(make sure you have good cooling).The amd fury x has great cooling and a lot of vram but it will give you less fps.All these gpu's are enough for both 1440p and 4k.(both 1440p and 4k are good enough although 4k wins).
