hi there.
this is my first post and i am not a hardware guy
but i recently built a 4k video editing pc based on this msi build:
https://www.msi.com/Landing/motherboards-for-4k-video-editing-pc-build
these are the exact parts:
https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/yKLrxr/intel-x299-pc-build-for-4k-video-editing
but instead of 2 kingston hyperX bricks, i went for 4. this makes it 64 GB DDR4 3000.
surprisingly everything went well, since this was the first pc i built myself.
there is only one problem: i can‘t use XMP. when i do, the bios says, the overclock doesn‘t work and it goes back to the last stable settings.
as i said, i‘m not much into hardware and bios is a mystical place for me. so i have no troubleshooting skills at all. i read things about manual settings and voltage and latency, but nothing about my exact build. so i am a bit scared to mess around with settings. btw, i flashed the bios to the latest version.
does anybode have some helpful hints for a complete noob?
thx in advance.
