"Good" is subjective and I am sure that most of us would judge the sound quality differently on any given speaker set with all other factors consistent.

My suggestion is to go, if at all possible, to a big box store (or any place) where you can listen to the speakers and physically get a sense of their durability and quality. Start within your price range and/or the models on your list.

Even that is no guarantee as the actual make and model you purchase could still sound different than that same make and model you listened to.

So many speakers and other peripherals are made for the lowest possible cost with minimal QA and testing. Thrown in the box no matter what....

Select based on what you can hear via speakers in your budget...

Select based on what you can hear via speakers in your budget and desired (5.1) connectivity. But purchase so you can return if necessary.

And also look at the User Guides/Manuals for the speakers and your sound card to know and understand your connection options beforehand.... You may need additional cables. I.e., figure out how 5.1 will work if it is really a true option via your sound card.

Not sure if this is helpful but.....

Years ago when I was an audiophile 30 years ago, it was found that headphones were just as good as speakers for the price of ten to one.
By this I mean that for every ten dollars spent on headphones they were as good as 100 dollar speakers.

So maybe invest in 5.1 head phones?

These are the ones I have and it was creepy hearing someone come up behind me in games at first lol.

These are REAL 5.1 as they have multiple speakers in them and is not simulated in the least.

Hope this helps :)
