Hello. I recently installed a new motherboard along with a new cpu and now, when i turn on the computer, it beeps 5 times, but then proceeds to boot normally and everything works fine.
I would like to know what's causing those annoying beeps.

PC Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte B250M-D2V
CPU: I5 6600K not overclocked
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: Kingston Hyper Fury 8GB
SSD: Samsung Evo 750
HDD: Seagate 1TB
OS: Windows 10 64Bit

Solution
10 short beep :CMOS error(https://www.gigabyte.com/Support/FAQ/816). Have you seated the CMOS battery properly? And about the CPU error, Check if there is any connection issues with the CPU cooler.

Peace.

but why would it report a cpu error and then continue to work flawlessly?

There have been same issues before with CPU error and the computer still boots up. Its not that the computer will not boot, but the bios is detecting there has been some hardware issues on your PC. 5 beeps a CPU error as per the beep codes on Gigabyte website.
Try clearing cmos and try removing the RAM and inserting it back.
Check for any bent pins and try reseating the CPU as well.

Peace.

All pins seem to be alright, i have also reseated the RAM and cleared cmos, but it still beeps 5 times before booting. I won't be able to reseat the cpu until tomorrow, though...

Also, after removing the video card and the HDD, the computer beeped 10 times. Does this change anything?
