$500-600 Build, please help.

I've got two builds im deciding on, the first one http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QVMjD3 was my original planned build, but then I found and old monitor in my basement that I could use. (HPv15) That knocked $100-ish off my build, so I just threw together this. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Dw3zLk

I'm not sure which one to go with, or if the old monitor is worth keeping. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Personally I like a big screen, so I'd find it a waste to build a new PC to connect to an old low-resolution screen.

How about a compromise between the builds: take the FX-6300 build, use a cheaper case and a GPU between the 750ti and 960?

I prefer big screens too , if you could save later for a screen that would be great
other than that you could lower GPU and PSU to get a screen
r9 280 = GTX 960 with 3GB ram instead of 2 ,, requires at least good 600watt psu .

That's the monitor. I really liked that case, do you know any good less expensive orange cases?
I know it's going to be tricky, but I was going for an orange color scheme.

I found a new MOBO with the FX-6300 bundled with it. I also changed the case for something a bit cheaper but still has some orange with a side window. I think I've decided to upgrade my monitor later on.
