$500 AUD Budget HELP!!

Hey guys,
I'm from Australia so money is a huge issue for me since I'm 16 an have no job, but I have saved up $500 aud, and I'm looking to upgrade from my 660 to something good, I was looking At a R9 290x Tri-X 4Gb card for $500 but I have seen a few GTX 780ti's and none TI go for around $300-$280 AUD and I was thinking about picking up one of thm or maybe save abit more and get 2 and sli them, which means I need to upgrade PSU, what do you guys think?

Does ram bottleneck GPUS?

i5 4690k @ stock
8GB 1600
GTX 660 MSI GAMMING SERIS
600w Cooler master (dont know model)
Sabertooth motherboard

thats all i know without going into detail and pulling my case apart
