500 gig hard drive only shows 50 gigs available

Hello,
I have been working on this computer and even though i restored the computer back to factory it still only shows 50 gigs available on a 500 gig hard drive hp computer with windows vista

start>right click computer>manage>storage>disk management and extend your volume.

thanks but it was a software issue. I had to wipe the HD out and use other software.
