The Xeon X3210's are supposed to get a price cut in Q2.

Kentsfields for only $425 anyone?

Hey, at the end of the article it says that Intel's single-core E4300 Allendale is making it's debut. I thought the E4300 was dual-core. Is there a single-core variant that I don't know about?
It's probably to be a typo. There's only two single core variants of core in the pipeline to my knowledge - the Pentium E1000 series (Which may have been canceled) and the Celeron 400 series. Then again, why anyone here would still care about single cores is beyond me.

Make that one variant with two models. Pentium E1000 (if it ever existed) now doesn't, and Pentium E2000, a dual core variant, will "replace" it, supposedly in June. Can't find the link at the moment that specifies June, but Mike's roadmap says Q2, and that's close enough. Celeron 400 series will be the single core variant.

I'd say a typo on the supposed single core E4300 as well.

I believe is a nice option for anyone with a 771 motherboard.

intel knows that if they would have make it 775, it would be sold out everywhere and the quad-core wouldnt be at $999 right now.

How's a 500$ Quad-Core With the Lowest Quad-Core binning possible a Speak(spear) To AMD? When every one know you cannot Overclock a LGA771.,It's Stuck at 1.8Ghz Hardly anywhere further than a midhigh-End Dual-Core

Not a lot of server farms are overclocked, so I dont think its a big concern.

Hmmm... considering many server farms are run by professionals who examine every aspect of the situation before recommending a buy from the Execs, I wonder why they don't OC... It would seem at first glance a great way to get the most from the investment... twiddle this and twaddle that and get 50% more horsepower... but maybe they know something we don't? Like reliability? 8)

What's that I see in the distance? The flames from the OC golden horde?
