I have a FIC K8MC51G motherboard. I want to add a 1.5T SATA hard drive. I have the correct cables, the drive spins but is not recognized. I have turned on everything I can find SATA related in the bios. Are there any other steps that I need to take to make this drive work.

Your MB may only recognize SATA 1.5 while it is possible that the new HD is SATA 3.

Look for a switch. See the manufacturer's web site or look at

and then go to paragraph 7.2.
