Should I buy a Samsung 500GB T7 SSD or Seagate Backup Plus 5TB HDD or WD My Passport 5TB HDD? All the three products are similarly priced in our country.
I have around 400GB of data at present. Most of them are downloaded youtube videos. Even if I buy a 5TB HDD I could utilise it. But also I could very well delete unwanted downloadable movie and other similar files available in internet and keep my data well below 500GB. I am in a dilemma. Please help.

Spinning disk is fine for backups. Think about physical damage when setting the drive. For example, a tall skinny external drive can be placed on its side to prevent it from being knocked over and damaged.
