HI!!!
THIS IS MY FIRST POST....

lol anyways.

I just recently ordered parts to build a new gaming rig.
This is my first time building one, so I did a lot of research, though I think I may have a hiccup(I HOPE NOT).

Well I ordered a MSI r9 280, and a 500w PSU through Corsair.
Question is will it be compatible? I just spent $1000 dollars and really can't be asked to buy a new one. So please let me know if that will do just fine. :)

My specs are:

Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid
CPU: AMD FX-6300 6 core 3.5GHz (4.1Ghz)
MOBO: Asus M5A97 R2.0
GPU: MSI r9 280 3g 384-bit
PSU: Corsair CX series CX500 500w ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE CERT
Case Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm
RAM: 2x4GB HyperX Fury White series (KINGSTON?)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
Cooling Fan: COoler Master Seidon 120v Liquid Cooler
DVD DRIVE: Asus DVD-WRITE DRW-24F1st
HDD: Seagate Barracude ST500DM002 500GB

Also could you tell me if I chose a good build?
& If I could play the most intensive games?

I play ARMA 3, and GTA IV: LCPDFR Mainly, and that's it for now. 😛

Solution
The Corsair "CX" line was made with some inferior Samxon capacitors that can't take heat and degrade rapidly. So, for a while the answer will be "yes;" perhaps for six months to a year. Beyond that, probably not. You don't need to replace it today, but plan to do so sooner rather than later.

Solution
If this was $1000 US Dollars, it is not the best that could have been had.

It is borderline on the wattage. CX500 is not a high end supply, but is from a reputable company.

Liquid cooling was probably not the best use of money here.

Yes, that is Kingston HyperX Fury.

You will be able to play older games at full speed at 1080p. Very recent titles High settings with good performance at 1080p.

Thank you very much!

As long as it works right now I'm happy. :)

I should of got a mentor for my pc build. 🙁 😛

If it was recent you can still return a lot of it.

Thank you for the advice, but I'm just going to keep this build i have. :)

It was recent, the parts haven't in even came in yet.

Now atleast I know I'll have to upgrade the PSU soon. :)
