Hi my current specs are the follwoing:
-rtx 2080 ti
-7800x3d
-32gb ddr5 6000mhz cl30
-850w 80+gold
Monitor:
- alienware aw2725df 1440p 360hz oled
my question is what should i upgrade to either the rtx 5070 ti or 5080, i currently play mainly competitive games at competitive settings. So which gpu would be best for 360fps or more at 1440p.

I also want to get into singleplayer gaming so the MFG function seems nice for them games hence why i want a 50 series.

The comp games i played are things like CS2, Apex legends, Fragpunk, COD, battlefield, etc.

Based on hardware unboxed's review, the 5080 is 13% faster than the 5070ti at 1440p. Unfortunately any recommendation will depend on the price you can find these cards at, since MSRP isn't really a thing (unless the situation has changed).

Edit: my personal opinion, without knowing the prices that are available to you, is to go for the 5070ti and save the price difference.

the price difference is £950 and jumps to £1200, i understand that £250 for 13% is pretty bad but im purely just trying to see if the 5070 ti is enough to get me my full usage out of my 360hz at 1440p

Short answer, no. But then there really isn't anything on the market that can push a 1440p 360hz display at max settings.

If you want 360 FPS+, you will just have to lower settings. And then the GPU matters less and less.

I would also look at a 5070 Ti, since it is basically a 4070 Ti Super / 4080 in terms of performance. Just like last generation the 5080 costs too much.

yeah i did mention that i play on competitive settings in everything apart from singleplayer games of course. i also saw the 5070 ti with a overclock is just behind the 5080 in performance
