50FPS In CSGO on 980 TI

Hows it goint guys, I am not sure whats going on with the system and cant seem to find any cures for it. It used to fix my simply in game hitting the windows key and then going back to CSGO.
Not sure how that worked but it did and the FPS would be back at 300+

Now nothing is working at all, I get a constant 50 -70 FPS and cant play.

I have a clean not dirty system,
Specs
Intel Core i7-4790k
GTX 980 TI SC
Asus Maximus VII
32 Gigs of Gskill Trident x
2 500 Crucial SSD
ASUS ROG Swift Monitor
Water Cooled CPU
Normal temps at load are 50C
and GPU 60C


Everything has been running fine and I am a am pretty good at cleaning the PC
Not sure what to do here. Please let me know Thanks

What is your GPU clock in-game? Sometimes lightweight titles like CS:GO will cause a heavyweight GPU to throttle due to low utilization/power management. If the clock speeds are lower than normal, go into NVidia Control Panel, and look under Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> CS:GO. Make sure that you set "power management mode" to "prefer maximum performance."

I am not sure how to see gpu clock In game. Not sure what's it's called but my core clock is set to 1120 and power is set to maximum performance

I recommend using MSI Afterburner - it can generate a series of graphs documenting CPU/GPU temperatures, voltages, core clock, memory, GPU load, CPU load, etc.

Let it run in the background, play your game for a few minutes, and then go back and review the graphs. That way you can see if your GPU is actually running at 1120 in-game. Once we know the answer to that question, we can proceed from there

Ok so I ran After burner and came up with these shown results.

But I also have noticed my monitor has a RED led instead of the usual white now
INFO:
The monitor LED changes color – what do the different modes mean?
White – normal ‘fast’ gaming (up to 144Hz)
Green –Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D hardware plugged into the PC and 3D Vision enabled
Red – G-Sync enabled
Yellow – Ultra Low Motion Blur
Orange – Standby

I am not sure if this is a problem too and I am looking into trying to fix this too. I hope I can get help from you guys. And thank you for all the support.

I am still getting around 90 FPS in game.

If it's red, than like your info said, G-Sync is enabled. G-Sync is like V-Sync but for higher refresh rates and it does the job better when the FPS fluctuates.

Check your Nvidia Control panel and under adjust Desktop Size and Position you can set the refresh rate, make sure it's 144hz.

If you want FPS over 144, you'll have to disable G-sync in your nvidia control panel settings, and you'll also be throwing away the all the money you spent on your fancy monitor.

FYI, you CAN NOT see FPS over 144 because your monitor is incapable of showing you any higher FPS.

Ok I see. I am just confused because it was all running smooth and fine until a recent windows 10 update. And i was seeing 300FPS before on the monitor, Even with G-sync enabled. maybe I am missing something but I will give it another try in the morning. Thank you

enabling G-Sync won't stop you from getting 144Hz so this is not a gsync problem. try checking out the video settings, you might be running a higher resolution than your monitor (geforce experience does that for old games).

I diasbled G-sync and checked my resolutions. Still cant get over 100 FPS. any other ideas?

well its not just CSGO its BF4 GTA and all my games. They all are getting the low FPS issue. To me it looks like a GPU issue. Any ideas?

well i downloaded it and ran it FPS is back up to 200, and no jumpy screen anymore! but is there any way or commands to get it back at 299 to 300.

You could probably put texture quality on "Quality" instead of "High Quality" for example --- but why 300fps? Your monitor can't even display half of those frames.

well its back to screen lagging and 90 fps. I just did a clean install of drivers to see if it helps

fps is around 100-110 but i am getting a horrible gaming experience screen lagging around and tearing. i tried to enable g-sync and disable it. still nothing. even with fresh drivers.

also when i wasnt having issues i was getting 300FPS and game was smooth and great.

Try turning off Triple Buffering - that setting gives my rig the stutters in every game I've ever tried it in.

I have tried everything. I switched to my older 1080p 122hz monitor. No Issues now.. I am starting to think this is a monitor issue now... sucks

never mind it worked for one game and then stopped once I re started. Not sure what to do guys

problem solved. It was the NZXT CAM software and it was bugging my system. Uninstalled and now works like new. So strange sometimes you know..... Thanks everyone
