Hi, I am trying to build a $550 system to fit an Nvidia 980ti into but am struggling to find a build that won't hold her back in performance as I am on a very tight budget an don't want to forfeit any sacred FPS. Any help would be much appreciated because on my own I will probably only bottleneck the beast.

Won't bottleneck at all at 4K or 1440p, and a very slight bottleneck at 1080p.

My motherboard supports an i7 4790K. Doesn't mean I need one for gaming. The OP is on a budget. 8GB of RAM is more than enough for 99% of all games on the market. Why would you get more?

Only thing i'd change would be the processor and perhaps the motherboard if he lives near a Microcenter. I5 4590 $160, i5 6500 $200, i5 4690k $220.
