I've currently got the Antec Edge 550W power supply (https://www.pccasegear.com/products/29726/antec-edge-550w-80-plus-gold-power-supply/) and its been working fine with my GTX 1070, but soon im also buying a 7700k to replace my cpu, will my psu be good enough to handle both of these? thanks

In my opinion, Antec is one of the best PSUs. I Have an 1200 watt in one machine to handle 2 R9 390xs which basically heat the room with heavy gaming. I have a Antec 750 on the bench for working on Main Boards and system building , testing. They have a very good power rail setup and are very dependable and sturdy. As far as the latest gen cpu, it seems each new gen brings better power efficiency. So it will likely use less power than what you have now. My newest machine is a Dell Area51 with the GTX 1070 and an I-6800k running on a proprietary 800 watt. The closer you get to the max of your PSU is closer to eventual problems. It may be ok but I would feel safer with a min of 750 watt. I let my son borrow a spare corsair 600 watt and it...

More than enough power and a great Antec PSU made by SEASONIC.

I let my son borrow a spare corsair 600 watt and it had some probs pushing his GTX 1060 so as I said its just my opinion but if you have the option a little more wont hurt and gives you some overhead, for say like when that lil devil on your shoulders makes you start thinking about SLI ing that new card
