So, this prebuilt I bought recently has a 650W modular psu, and i dont have any sata power cables to add an ssd onto the build. the current one is an M.2
My old PC has a 550W psu. Was wondering if my current build can be run safely with the 550W
Current build is:
ASUS B550M-A/AC AMD
Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7GHz Processor
NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6
4x 8GB DDR4 3200 RAM G. Skill Trident w/ RGB
500GB SSD (I'm adding a second 1TB SSD)
2 case fans w/ RGB
Wraith CPU fan

Solution
bought a prebuilt from microcenter. the 650 is modular and only has the pci-e cable and a cable to power the mobo.
there was no supplied sata power cables when i purchased the build.
the 550 is non-modular, hence why im trying to see if i can safely run the build with the specs i listed for the next week or 2 until the cable to put into the modular 650 comes in so i can power the drives.
I would contact micrometer and tell them you need the rest of the cables.
If I build one from somebody they always get all the extra cables neatly bundled and secured in the case.
How? 650W PSU should easily have 6-8 SATA connectors, and yours have just one? Impossible.

been past the 15 day return limit, and beyond that i had gotten this build after buying another build that i had to return due to a defective 6600xt hellhound. so i dont think that's likely to happen

Might well be worth commenting on their website.

Pointing out how they are unhelpful to customers can often ginger up a customer service department to stop the non customer facing Wookies playing retarded "pranks" on the golden geese. YMMV
