Question 5600Mhz vs 6000Mhz

Hello All,

I am planning to upgrade my rig to a one with the new Intel 13th gen i9.
According to Intel, this CPU supports 5600Mhz of DDR5 RAM.
Does that mean it is pointless/meaningless to buy memory sticks with speeds of up to 6000Mhz or even 6600Mhz?
Won't the CPU even be able to utilize it, rendering this memory OP?

it doesnt mean it wont work with higher clocked memories...older CPUs with ddr4 were up to 3200 and people still used sticks well above that

5600 in this case is for JEDEC clock (not XMP), low woltage, stock slow timings, nobody runs on jedec, only OEMs

So I can safely buy a 6000Mhz and above DDR5 and expect better speeds (compared to if I were to buy 5600Mhz)?

ye, but no clue if 13th gen will have better memory scaling then 12th gen
