Right so i built my new computer, everything works fine except i cant get my resolution right. Im using my hdmi wire to go into the back of my 19" tv. I tried so many combinations of resolutions and Hz but the picture always looks stretched or squashed. I've tried changing in the windows program and the ati program. Ive even fiddled with the aspect ratio and other settings on my TV. The closest i can get it to looking OK is such a high resolution that its too small to see.
Yet when playing games its fine.
There is also between 1 -5 cm (depending on resolution) gap at the edge of the screen which it wont seem to use. Yest the games all run full screen.
any suggestions?
would swithching to vga help?
