5820k MSI x99 cooling issues

Hello,

So I have an X99 build, all stock. Build list is:
Cpu: 5820k
Cpu Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
Ram: 32GBs of DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX at 2400mHz (the 2666mHz was out at the time)
Motherboard: MSI X99A SLI Plus
GPU: EVGA GTX 980 FTW edition
PSU: EVGA 850W Gold
HDs: 1 x Samsung 500GB SSD and 1 x WD 2TB Black

So I built my system about 6-7 weeks ago and it was running fine for the first 4 weeks. Well I started having issues with my CPU keeping cool and after my system fans would all speed up as fast as possible my system would shut off after 3-5 minutes of running like that. I replaced my CPU cooler because I thought that was the issue and for about a week or so it started doing the same thing again. I think now it is the MB having issues drawing the right amount of volts to the CPU cooler from the PSU.

The only idea besides trying to get a new MB is, running a 3-pin to molex and get direct power from the PSU. I switched the 3-pin between system fan and cpu fan 1 on the MB a few times to see if anything would change and nothing did.

So I am wondering what do you all think I should do. Give me some trouble shooting ideas

how would i check that? BIOS?

because when i went to BIOS and watched my temp just skyrocket before i shut it off.
