Hey guys I want to know what frequency should I expect if I overclock my haswell 5820K using an average air/water cooling system. Many Thanks!

I got my 5820k 4.425 ghz on a 1.308 adaptive voltage and a 125mhz bclock. my temps are low like 45 deg on load with noctua nhd-15 and a very very good high flow positive pressure case temjin tj04-e. it was acutally stable at 4.5ghz and was crashing at 4.6 ghz. i settled in at 4.425ghz ftw and for stability

I thought these processors were unlocked ( K-series) instead of doing 125mhz wouldn't you just be able to just change the multiplier to 45. and leave the bclk at 100 for 4500mhz??? Or does the ram come into play then???

yes the 5820k is unlocked. and yes you can just change the multiplier if that is all you want to do. since my last post I have done overclocks varying the multiplier only (ie with a base clock of 100mhz). It still seems my setup is more stable at 4.4 ghz (multiplier of 44) and less stable at 4.5ghz (multiplier of 45) regardless. Currently I have an overclock of just 4.4ghz with multiplier of 44 and I have left the baseclock at 100mhz. When I overclock the bus it seems to max at 126 or 127mhz and the ram does seem to play an issue. I have crappy 2133 crucial ddr4 ram. The timings seem to lower when I overclock the bus but the 2133 seems to go to ~1700mhz or so.

just so you know your final cpu speed in hz will be = baseclock x multiplier

if you overclock either one (bclock or multi) then you'll end up with a faster clock.
