The 4870 used in that chart is the 1GB version, not the 512MB you're used to seeing. Also note that the test was done in the most extreme settings possible on Crysis, really bringing out the best in both the GPU and CPU, not some crappy sub-1080p with low settings that other sites will try and get away with using top-end cards as if people played at those settings with them.

I don't think it has anything to do with hardware, its just the configuration that comes with the GPU, i am sure if you tweak/modify the settings of their control panels and such you can get the cards to look the same. More over I would really like to see a side by side comparison of a Nvidia&Ati GPU playing the same game with same OS, same hardware, Same monitor, Same settings of OS/monitor, same control panel settings, preferable a fresh installed OS, same age hardware, and a bunch of others because as you can see there are a million variables that can cause this.

What's so crazy about what he's trying to say is that somehow ATi's general graphics (I'm using this term very loosely here) are somehow just "worse" regardless of performance. That makes no sense, and is really just completely insane. 😱 Really though, the colors are different? He's trying to justify his favoritism because the competitors colors are wrong? Who is judging what colors are "right" anyways?

^I completely agree...who is the person who is actually telling..."this color is more realistic then this one"...liquidsnake...i want to see evidence, proof, benchmarks, tests, experiments, back yourself up buddy, if you can't then how do we know if you are lying or telling the truth or just plain saying a bunch of BS fanboy stuff.

I also referred to that card as I saw it on a recent PC World magazine. How hot is this card and why didnt toms review this even though a few ppl got it, it would be nice to see a review of this monster. It might be better than the SLI version of two of these cards but I bet alot hotter...

It looks like if you overclock it with stock fan-heatsink you can fry 3 eggs on it and maeby roll over descent N.Y. sirloin steak,for breakfast that is...
See it's a card with culinary atributes....

Hey "buddy", check out maxishines comparison and see for yourself. Also see the resident evil 5article from Toms. There is minimal difference but look at the zombies and you will see that Ati uses a few different colors. Now if you had the money to buy two PCs and play the game side by side with identical systems you would see a difference. I dont haver the time to but I could easily.

If you want email Maxishine, his PCs are nothing youve even had for sure.

There you go buddy, now what do you have besides smart ass comments Fanboy?

Neither of those links support what you're saying, the Tom's review by Don states the opposite quite clearly ;

"We scrutinized both GeForce and Radeon screen captures, and from what we can tell, there's no difference of note"

And you're not going to glean anything from postage size compressed images like on the Maxishine review.

Seriously, you'll need to provide something more objective and conclusive than those two items.

Even with Crysis it would be easy to link to the shader aberrations during the whole cheating scandal, so that Maxishine link is far below that level which when into specific detail of the negative impact on nV cards.

Okay and i looked at maxi-shines comparison of the cards and the difference in colors could just be a differently adjusted Hue, saturation, gamma, contrast, midtones...etc, If they were adjusted and properly tweaked, the the colors would look the same...yes maybe on stock settings the cards might be different but i doubt its soley hardware based. Moreover as i said there are tons more different variables. And don't get angry, i wasn't attacking you, i am just reasoning with you. And the part where "this color is more realistic then this one" is completely opinionated.
