just got myself a new system. msi k7t turbo with amd t/b 900mhz. why is it the cpu temp always around 59c-62c. is it too hot??? btw, im using thermaltake chrome orb 5900rpm.

You'd be supprised at the varience on temps. Half of that depends on your motherboard's thermistor placement too. The 'rated' temps on the t-bird is like 90C, but if you're getting 60C+, you might want to try a few different things.

First, and easiest, is to pull off your case panels (all of them), and point a house fan on low/medium at the motherboard.
If your cpu/mb temps drop by more than 1C, you've got a case cooling issue above everything else you could possibly do.
Arctic silver and copper plates (~$10) are the next easiest way to go.
After that, it starts to get a little expensive. I've not seen many good thermal specs. on the chrome orb.
