Hi!

My PSU is a
Apevia 500W ATX Power Supply
And my graphic card I bought is a
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 3GB GAMING X

My problem is that my PSU have a 6+2 pins connector and my graphic card needs 8. I already search if it was okay and learn that it is the same thing. But when I put these items ont pc part pickers, it clearly says : PCI-Express 8-pin power connector is needed. Is it like an error from pcpartpickers? Or does express mean something important that I don't have on my PSU? I have my PSU with me and I can plug the 6+2 on my graphic card.

Thanks!

Hi

6 pin pci-e plug and cable supports supply of 75watts of 12 volts

6+2 pin pci-e plug and cable is same as 8 pin and supply 150 watts of 12 volts

So i assume part picker is wrong

I have not heard of that brand of psu so check what the rating of the 12 volts output is
it needs to cover your gpu and cpu with some to spare

If your power supply has a 6+2 cable, then it will be OK to use with an 8 pin graphics card.
BUT -- BUT, that power supply is garbage quality according to the Power Supply Tier List
It may not be able to handle the load. You need to get a better supply.

Thank you for your answer!

Could you advise me a PSU that is really cheap that would work with my computer?

Power Supply : Apevia 500W ATX Power Supply
Motherboard : ASRock z97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150

(But I will buy a new one (the motherboard) because the chipset just burn and another part near the ram, and with what you just said to me I think that my PSU could be the one responsible)

CPU : Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
GPU : MSI GeForce GTX 1060 3GB GAMING X
Case : Deepcool TESSERACT SW ATX Mid Tower Case
RAM : G. Skill Ripjaws X series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Storage : SDD : OCZ ARC 100 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive and an HDD

Also, a suggestion for a motherboard would be welcome :) (for the price like something 140 to 190$ for the two combined, if possible)

Thank you!
