Question 6 pin to 8 pin?

Hello,can i use 6pin to 6+2 pin transformers to power 2060 safely.

It is not recommended. A psu that does not have the right connections is a strong indication it is not up to the job. What exact psu do you have?

İ have zalman zm750 hp it has 6+2 pins but the 2 pins are broken.

Hmm not ideal but it would probably be ok. Adapters are an additional source of resistance which are best avoided but seeing as you don’t have a choice it’s probably ok.

Im rethinking, putting the cable problem aside I wish it was a better quality psu to start with. It’s not one I would recommend.

I really, really, really hate using adapters. Always the weak point.

It wasn't really a bad PSU when it came out. Group-regulated, but it was competently put together by FSP, even if nothing amazing.

But it's a really old PSU at this point. I'd use this as an opportunity to upgrade to something with a modern design that wasn't manufactured back when Bush was still the president.
