hey guys,

my very 1st xps 8930 was great and came with 8 pin connectors from power supply to plug into a 1660 pny blower. I played the witcher 3 with no problems at ultra settings

below you can see 8 pin connector 2 pics

my most recent exchanged pc, completely identical came with stock nvidia gtx 1660 (supposedly the same performance with any other 1660) but it has a 6 pin connection. When I play exact same witcher 3, it is extremely laggy and slow.

Is 6 pin slower and older tech than a 8 pin in terms of graphics performance? Also, why is the stock nvidia 1660 with one fan so much smaller compared to a MSI with two fans?

Should I re order an XPS again like the first pc without a stock graphics and if I get 6 pin connection, will an 8 pin adapter work with no problems to connect to MSI 1660 8 pin connection without stress on 460 watt power supply? it worked fine with my 1st one except is was pretty loud blower

This newest computer is up to date on drivers but the PNY from my 1st pc was much much faster than this crappy stock gpu. how is this possible?

Thanks
